I'm working as a nursing aide in a Gentlecare facility here in Oak Harbor, WA. Gentlecare is the only way to go! It is resident-centered: we start from considering what's best for the resident, then plan accordingly. At the nursing home where I earned my certificate, I was at odds with the management; here, I am right at home. Thank you, Moyra Jones Resources!

I had the Honor to read a little bit about your book, in the Nursing Home i work tending a lady with Short Term memory loss, i am preparing myself to study further the wonderful and caring seniors that are going through with this sickness, but i am honoured to be part of their lives, and i believe if you retrain them in their past work and developing with patience they can return in many ways to remember the past......with tender loving care at all times.......keep us enjoying more books like yours so we can enjoy our time with them.......Susana

I have just become aware of Gentlecare through a nursing home at which I have begun to teach Thera- peutic Touch (TT).The concept is remarkable, and I am currently doing some work around integrating the concepts of Therapeutic Touch with that of Gentle- care. I belive it will be remarkably complementary. I have yet to find the book and read it.
